Gil Hedley on foam rolling the IT band

Please join me in appreciating the delightfully weird and fascinating Gil Hedley, anatomist, as he explains why it isn’t necessary to torture yourself with a foam roller.

Content warning – Gil Hedley primarily teaches human anatomy with cadavers, and this video features views of a donor’s partially dissected legs in order to show the consistency and texture of the IT band.  Working with cadavers has been a very important part of my education as a massage therapist, but I am aware it’s not for everyone.  I’m deeply grateful to donors and their families.
